The list on the refrigerator. The door that never closed right. The towel bar that came out of the wall in 2019. We do the small jobs that are too small for most contractors to call back about.
Get a Free EstimateIt isn't that nobody wants your business. It's that a two-hour repair costs a contractor nearly as much in scheduling, driving, and setup as a two-day one, so small work quietly falls to the bottom of everyone's list. That's how a five-minute fix ends up waiting eight months.
Our answer is straightforward: batch it. If you've got six small things, we'd rather come once and knock out all six than make six trips. Walk the house before you call, write down everything — including the things you assume are too trivial to mention — and we'll work through the whole list in one visit.
Nail pops, cracked corners, doorknob holes, and water-stained patches — repaired and textured to match.
Rehanging, planing, hinge and strike adjustment. Often a symptom of seasonal movement rather than the door itself.
Faucets, light fixtures, ceiling fans, toilets, garbage disposals, and cabinet hardware.
TVs, heavy mirrors, shelving, grab bars — fastened into actual structure, not just drywall anchors.
Damaged sections replaced, gaps closed, quarter-round added, and caulk lines redone.
Soft fascia, damaged siding, and deteriorated door thresholds — caught early before they become framing problems.
Getting a house ready to sell or rent? A punch list before listing is one of the highest-return things you can do — buyers price in far more than a repair actually costs when they see a list of small defects during inspection. The same goes for turning over a short-term rental along the river between seasons. Send us the inspection report or your own list and we'll work through it.
We'd rather tell you up front than waste your time. Work that legally requires a licensed specialist — significant electrical service work, gas line work, and certain plumbing — goes to the appropriate trade. Major HVAC, roofing replacement, and septic work are outside what we take on. If you call about something we don't handle, we'll say so, and where we can we'll point you toward someone who does.
There's a practical minimum for any visit — the drive and setup cost the same whether the job takes twenty minutes or two hours. That's exactly why batching several small items into one trip gets you far better value. We'll be clear about pricing before any work starts.
It depends on the work. Well-defined tasks get a flat price so you know the number going in. Open-ended diagnostic work — chasing a leak, tracking down why a floor squeaks — is fairer hourly, because neither of us knows what's involved until it's opened up. We'll tell you which applies before starting.
Sometimes, depending on what's already scheduled. Small jobs are easier to slot in than large ones. Call and ask — if we can't get there quickly we'll tell you honestly rather than leave you waiting on a maybe.
Either way works. If you have a specific fixture or finish in mind, buy it and we'll install it. If you'd rather not shop, tell us what you want and we'll source it — you'll see the material cost itemized on the estimate.
Send us the whole thing — the small stuff too. One visit, one invoice, and the list is finally done.
